The STREAM Train The Trainer initiative focuses on developing people’s outdoor activities and survival skills. The activities will begin at the fundamental level and progress as they continue their training further. Some training programmes may lead to certifications if they continue to pursue the training.

Sea Kayak Skills
Coaching Ratio: 1:6
Begin developing foundational paddling skills to manoeuvre competently using sit on top (SOT) kayaks in nearshore environments in calm conditions. Once these skills have been practised to a suitable level, participants will paddle from Pak Lap Wan to Pak Lap Tsai and surrounding areas.

Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Skills

Leave No Trace (LNT) Workshop

Outdoor venues and locations are struggling to sustain themselves with the sheer number of people that want to recreate and enjoy them. Leave No Trace is an international organisation with a curriculum on minimal impact practises and outdoor ethics. This activity involves a hiking experience; students have to demonstrate and apply what they have learnt from the classroom to the outdoor environment.

Climbing is an excellent way of experiencing the same location in a different and adventurous way. Training for climbing not only teaches you fundamental skills such as safety, knotting, climbing and belaying techniques, it can also teach you how to overcome challenges that may seem very daunting at first.

Abseiling
Coaching Ratio: 1:6
Participants will learn the basics of abseiling, and the difficulty will gradually increase depending on the group’s progress. During abseiling, you will experience spectacular views while you are literally hanging from a rock face. This activity can help participants be more comfortable with facing challenging situations, offers an adrenaline rush and give you plenty of time to practice the skills you have learnt.
