Augmented Lifestyle

Programmes Details

Pak Lap - STREAM Teaching Facility Centre

KS3, KS4

What our future cities look like, depends on the design and build from future architects, engineers and designers. Connected by information and data, 3D digital twin provides simulation for analytics and prediction. Participants undergo a classroom based theory lesson and then a practical activity, learning how to use augmented reality (AR) content management system (CMS) in the production of AR Virtual Materials and make a 3D augmented map.

Programmes Objective

To successfully integrate 3D models of living organisms, objects and buildings on the augmented reality (AR) content management system (CMS) to build a 3D augmented map of Pak Lap.

Learning Outcomes

Be more prepared for the upcoming augmented era by learning how to co-create a data driven smart village in Pak Lap

Learning Content & Activities

Introduction of the AR technology and how to co-create and develop the Smart Village in Pak Lap.
Learn how to use 3D scanning device to scan and convert different animals and plants become digital 3D object.
Learn how to import the scanned 3D object into 3D software and use modelling tools to make adjustment on 3D model.
Learn how to use the Content Management System (CMS) to prepare the design materials and create the AR content.
