To let students understand the relationship between energy and daily life
Learning Outcomes
Be able to assess information about energy in general and solar energy, the applications and future development
Be able to analyse the design criterias for solar transportation and create a working solar powered car
Learning Content & Activities
Learn basic energy relationships and the advantages and disadvantages of solar energy
Design a draft model of the vehicle using different materials
Assemmble the solar energy vehicle using the design, you may personalise the vehicle using paint
Bring the finished product outside for testing under the sun. Test and record the time it takes for the vehicle to travel a set distance
